A Foodie’s Guide to Georgetown

I’ll keep it real: I don’t often visit Georgetown due to the fact it’s missing a Metro stop, so getting there from my place is always a struggle. But when I do visit this charming neighborhood (thank you, Uber pool!), I have a list of favorite places to visit for brunch, lunch, and dinner! Below is my list. Enjoy!

Spicy Guava Pisco at High Street Cafe

Highstreet Cafe: So many reasons to love this Latin-American newcomer, but what keeps me coming back is their amazing Spicy Guava Pisco cocktail and their delicious asopao. This airy neighborhood arrival is perfect for a fun and casual date or a group gathering for brunch or happy hour.

Dyllan’s Raw Bar Grill

Dyllan’s Raw Bar Grill: This stone-lined restaurant is actually a little hidden from the busy streets of Georgetown and I love it for it! They have the cutest patio with bright turquoise chairs overlooking the scenic canal (which just got filled with water!). There’s a secretive speakeasy vibe inside, complete with romantic fireplaces and nautical decor. Their avocado mac and cheese is so crazy delicious! Big fan of their seasonal craft cocktails as well.

Brunch, boulangerie christophe
Brunch Spread at Boulangerie Christophe

Boulangerie Christophe: Feeling a little fancy? This is the place for you. They have great outdoor seating and solid lineup of carb-heavy brunch dishes that will have you coming back for more. Their pastry selection is also solid! You do not want to skip a sweet finale.

ENO’s Rose Garden

Eno Restaurant: This cute destination for date night is located right next to the glitzy Four Seasons Hotel. I love their cheese fondue and diverse selection of wines. They also just recently opened their rosé garden, which at times has live music.

Cherry Blossom Latte

Cafe Georgetown: Say hello to the most Instagrammable café in DC! Their latte art is next level and they also have the cutest little bar area in the back of their cafe that offers happy hour daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Chaia Tacos: A great post-yoga spot for my vegetarian peeps! I’ve tried all of their tacos and all are equally tasty. They also offer a great happy hour daily and have sangria on tap! Sign me up.

Bandoola Bowl: This Burmese salad shop is only a few days old! It’s tucked right below the busy M Street and Wisconsin NW intersection and is super cute, with lots of healthy bowl options. Head upstairs to grab a seat overlooking the shopping action below.

Brunch at The Alex

The Graham: This boutique Hilton hotel is a gem in the heart of Georgetown. Go downstairs to stumble upon its secluded restaurant, The Alex, which hosts live jazz nights and serves up a legit happy hour and weekend brunch. Get some fresh air at its super sexy rooftop bar, which offers prime views, Veuve pours, and cocktails.
