One thing that I love about Instagram is how you can find awesome places by location and a simple hashtag. The blue rooster has def been a popular hashtag here in DC and thanks to people tagging the location aka The National Gallery of Art, I was able to find it! The beautiful blue rooster or “Blue Cock/ Hahn” by artist Katharina Fritsch is def worth the search. I took the the occasion to also shoot this look and show you how you can style a tunic in two different ways. In the first look, I’m wearing the tunic layered with a thin sweater, casual flats, my favorite Kate Spade cross body bag and a black newsboy cap.
The second look is a bit more dressy! Something you can wear to a semi fancy dinner after a casual day at the museum. To achieve this look, I took off the sweater and put on my long trench coat and spiced things up with my leopard fedora hat. I also switched my heels from flats to a fancier pair of booties.
What do you guys think of both looks? I was able to fit my sweater, hat and flats in a medium size bag so you can def achieve both looks in the same day without the need of going home to change! Talk about time saver.
