Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an awesome event at the National Law Enforcement Museum. It involved, food, cocktails, and solving a crime — basically the perfect way to exercise your mind with a side of fun!
If you’re looking for an atypical activity to do with your significant other, or even a large group of friends, this is it! For a period of 10 weeks, museum visitors will get a chance to put their thinking caps on. Upon entering the Law Enforcement Museum, you are handed a “case file” that totally gives you legit detective feels! Embrace it (we did!) lol. Open the file to meet Queen of Diamonds — a known criminal whose anonymous crew can only be identified by solving a series of puzzles embedded throughout the museum’s exhibits. How cool is that?
During the event, my friend and I walked around the museum gathering all the clues we needed to solve the case. I’m not a very detail-oriented person — but my friend is — so my suggestion for you is to bring someone who truly pays attention to details. It took us around 2 hours to go through the entire case file, but we had so much fun doing so! Finding the all the right answers can require more time and thinking, but you really get into it! Towards the end of our experience, I truly wanted to crack the case. We did not solve it, but we ALMOST got to the end, which makes me want to go back! Perhaps this time with my nephews.
Here comes the fun part! If a visitor succeeds in identifying all five members of the gang, they’ll be entered in a drawing for the chance to win $25,000, which will be awarded to one pro participant at the conclusion of the 10-week experience. So bring your A-game this weekend and have fun solving this crime!
