Celebrate the Day of Love at Hotel Revival!

If you still don’t have plans for Valentine’s Day this Friday, February 14, have no fear! I have a solid last-minute idea for you. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Baltimore’s Hotel Revival, and the quick trip was such a treat! I kept thinking how cool it would be to have a mini V-Day getaway to downtown Baltimore. And this boutique hotel comes with a prime perk: an amazing rooftop restaurant, which means you don’t even have to put on a winter jacket to dine out. Valentine’s Day also falls on a Friday this year, so treat yourself or your boo to a long weekend of self-care and sleeping in!

One thing I love about Hotel Revial is its awesome aesthetic. The minute you walk into the hip lobby, decked out in bright floral wallpaper, neon signage, and chandeliers, you immediately realize how cute this gem truly is! Most of their rooms come with stunning vistas of the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, which obvi sets the mood! Because, let’s be real — a room with a sweet view makes things a bit (or a lot) more exciting. Their beds are also comfy and the bathrooms are sleek and spacious.

Once you are all settled in, make sure to check out their buzzy restaurant at the top that’s appropriately called Topside! Let me warn you, the panoramic eye candy of Charm City is pretty epic, so make sure your iPhone is fully charged to document the many moments you’ll have there lol. The sexy setup up there includes swaying palms and retro-chic vibes. Topside offers a special Valentine’s Day three-course prix fixe menu this year. I was lucky enough to sip up a preview of their cocktails, and all I can say is they tasted as good as they looked. As my snack, I ordered their delicious chicken wings. The next day I also got a chance to check out their breakfast. The waiter recommended we try their scones, and we were so glad we got our day going that way.

Let’s be real — going out for dinner or brunch for Valentine’s Day on your home turf can be overrated! Sometimes it’s nice to escape the city and experience life elsewhere that’s not too far from home, but far enough to feel like you are away from home, if that makes sense lol. Pro tip: if you don’t have a car, the Marc train from Union Station will get you there in no time.

What are your Valentine’s Day plans? Do you care to be out and about this day at all? I’m on the fence about it but I LOVE the idea of celebrating love, period. More about my Baltimore adventures, HERE!
