This past Monday was not just another manic Monday for us…..we were so happy not to be stuck somewhere between traffic jams and 9-5. Instead, we spent the entire day roaming the busy but ohhh so fabulous NYC streets. I picked this title for the blog because #1 – I love “empire state of mind” and 2 – NYC streets truly do make you feel brand new. We felt a feeling of instant rejuvenation and inspiration as soon as we walked out of our hotel (the new Kimpton – Eventi). One of the best moments was taking a quick coffee break, and watching the effortlessly chic New Yorkers go about their day. It was fun being in the city on a week day and we must admit, it was very refreshing not to see a single suit go by (of course because we were in the fashion district and not wall street) but either way, for two DC girls, that’s a first for a Monday afternoon!
