On Saturday morning we began celebrating Labor Day weekend with a little afternoon trip to another one of our local VA wineries (yes perhaps there is a pattern here…but heck, we all know wine is good for the heart & soul so when our best friend suggested the plan, we couldn’t pass it up). We got the gang together and drove out about an hour + to the Bluemont Vineyard which is located on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At an elevation of 951 feet above sea level, the views from the tasting room patio are absolutely breathtaking so that is exactly where we spent the entire afternoon indulging in some delicious wines, cheeses, and that amazing BBQ and rosé rib special they had that day. Oh and although it didn’t make it into the outfit post, you should have seen Carlis’ portable mosquito repellent device…it looks like some sort of blend between a pager and mini fan, it’s hilarious and totally amazing at the same time. Maybe next time I’ll convince her to keep it on for an outfit post 😉
