Atmosphere: Noelia is an upscale casual American restaurant in downtown DC serving great food in an upbeat atmosphere.
What we loved:
Decor: Noelia is an adorable spot conveniently located near Metro center. It is spacious in the front with cozy seating for parties of all sizes in the back.
Meal: We started with the Baby Beet Salad with Grilled Peaches, Chive, Cherry Glenn Chevre, Spring Onion Yogurt & Sherry Vinaigrette. We also tried a side of the crispy brussel sprouts. Both dishes were tasty and well made. Two dishes that were delicious and worth repeating were the Shrimp Carbonara with Linguini, Chive, Guanciale, Fresh Farm Egg, Parmesan, Tomato, Garlic & Citrus Zest and the Crispy Salmon with Beet Infused Potato Puree with Truffle and Fresh Thyme, Olive Relish & Micro Salad. The pasta was well made and well seasoned and a good size entree portion and the salmon as promised was crispy which is a must when that is what you have on the menu so I appreciated that. We will have to return to try the dessert because we were too full this trip but it sounded like they had some tasty options.
Pro tip: Noelia has a tasty looking happy hour menu that is worth checking out!!
Chef T.J. Fisher states that he “designed this menu to excite your palette with a fresh, bold take inspired by the classics. These are dishes that I have loved over the years, but I’ve made them a little different; so you still recognize the dish, but can now enjoy it with new exotic flavors derived from seasonal and aromatic ingredients. So sit back and rejuvenate your taste buds.”
