Playing Dress Up with Rent The Runway!

April has come and gone but we are still recovering from all the celebrations — what a whirlwind!!! This year my birthday coincided with Sara’s wedding in Napa, so we knew it was going to be an extra special weekend which would require extra special dresses. I always stress out around my birthday about what to wear (always) and this time the pressure was doubled with such a special event happening at the exact same time. However, this time finding our perfect dresses was a piece of cake (pun intended)! With only a few days to find something for the trip, we decided to partner up with our favorite go-to place for special occasion dresses, Rent The Runway, and avoid the hustle of dress shopping. And boy was it a great idea! Here is a look at what we wore and our experience:

We have ordered RTR dresses online before, but having the Georgetown store in our backyard really helped enhance the experience. A quick trip to the store gives you the ability to sort through an impressive selection of styles, try on your favorites in some of the best dressing rooms around, and even pick out accessories to finish off the look. We would highly recommend making an appointment with one of the knowledgeable RTR stylists. The cost of the appointment is $25 but it’s worth it. It could get pretty overwhelming looking for sizes or trying to zip yourself up on your own. Another thing we love is that if you don’t find your size in the store, you can order it right there and then and have it shipped directly to you or to the store if you want to try it on before committing (you can swap it out for another if it doesn’t work). Oh and don’t forget to ask for the free back up size, we have found this option to be a life saver – you may think you know your size, but designer cuts vary greatly. All in all, we had a great experience with RTR Georgetown and will definitely be back very soon!
