(El Palacio Real)
I sadly only had a chance to visit Madrid for 24 hours! However thanks to my new friend Santiago, I was able to take advantage of every minute as he gave us a mini tour of the city!
(Gourmet Tasting at Gran Via, Madrid)
Lunch at Gourmet Experience is def something you MUST do in Madrid. The view of the main boulevard while you enjoy some tinto de verano with some tapas is one experience you don’t want to miss.
(La Plaza Mayor)
(Almudena Cathedral)
(Lots of espadrilles to chose from!)
Totally fell in love with all of the little balconies, streets and alleys of Madrid.
(La Puerta de Alcala)
My Final stop was to check out La Puerta de Alcala which is an old city gate and it’s very close to La Plaza de la Independencia. I seriously wished I had at least one more day to explore and photograph this beautiful city! However I’m thankful that I at least got 24 hours to explore! 😉
PS: To get more details of this trip check out the blog of my travel buddy and good friend Jessica of Adventures of the Repatriate! Her travel/ food blog is def one you want to bookmark if you have future vacation plans.
