Hi and welcome back to our new and improved site!
Thank you so much for waiting on this re-launch while we were under reconstruction. We are truly humbled by the outpour of support and positive feedback as we take this next step towards a bigger and better SCDC! This was a project of love and we spent quite some time rediscovering what SCDC means to us before moving forward. It was a much needed change for us and we truly hope you enjoy this new direction. Please take your time to click around our new site and check out all the new pages and posts.
During this new phase we want to get back to our roots and the vision we always had for SCDC – sharing beautiful and useful content that is both relatable and inspiring. Unfortunately, during these last two years we were both going though pretty though transitions in our lives and these changes took a toll not only on us personally but on the blog as well. But we are in a much better place now and are able to bring you new and exciting posts that reflect our current lifestyles.
So what can you expect in this new chapter of SCDC? We plan to post a lot more about fitness & health because it is something we’re embracing personally and it’s exciting to share what we learn with all of you. We also plan to get a bit more personal and share some of our thoughts, hobbies, inspiration and ideas. We’ve also been missing our outfit posts and I know you’ve missed them too so we will slowly bring them back as well. Travel is here to stay! We have a fun trip in the works but in the mean time, make sure to read our past adventures.
However, the content that we are most excited about is our Local Love section! We’ll be writing a lot about our favorite local restaurants, bars, boutiques and all the brilliant minds behind these businesses that make DC Metro area a truly unique and exciting place to live. We’re also adding a Weekend Happenings section where we’ll share our favorite hangout spots and weekend agenda items we think you’ll really enjoy exploring. Finally, we’re kicking off a new feature – the SCDC Newsletter! This will be a very important part of the blog because we’ll be writing unique content just for the newsletter (i.e., insider’s look into upcoming events, exclusive shopping discounts, new restaurant opening previews, etc) so please take your time to subscribe so you receive all these news directly in your inbox!
Before we let you go explore, we’d like to take a moment and thank Lacey of A Lacey Perspective/Ronzio Digital for the terrific redesign and fast turnaround on this new site! If you are a blogger looking to rebrand, we can’t recommend them enough.
Also a big thank you to Ashley of Chicville USA for the amazing new bio photos. She was able to capture us in a very natural moment despite the freezing temperature in which we were shooting that day.
